PUBLISHERS NOTE

I am excited to bring this platform to you. A vision long conceived has finally seen the light of the day. The reason for my ecstasy is pure and simple; throughout human existence as a political community, record keeping at individual, group and community level has been given priority. This is because our past which invariably translate to our history; is the linking bridge to our today and as a platform for projecting the future. History is taught at various levels including schools, domestic and places of worship; sometime through oral, written or arts. It is in view of the importance of history to generational development that the ancient Egypt and Greek civilizations did everything to document their History, so that their civilization can be properly communicated to the future generations. This is because, it is a well-known fact that, an individual or a people who are not adequately schooled about where they are coming from; can hardly get to their desired destination.
More so, good understanding of the past through documented history will help to avoid the mistakes of our fore-bearers or improve on their successes.  In view of the aforesaid. Histograph is therefore, established to bridge the vacuum created as a result of careless neglect of historical documentation. This I believe will help to educate or create awareness among our youths: teeming graduates of higher institutions, who despite passing through the four walls of tertiary institutions have failed to appreciate our past, which is why we keep repeating old mistakes. In order to redirect Nigeria to the path of self-realization, we must go back to the past and bring it as part of today and our today as part of tomorrow. To this end, Histomentary Communication was incorporated to bridge the gap through Histograph, which is a tabloid/magazine or journal, meant to track events, document activities and tell the untold story.
